Eligibility Criteria for the Startup World League - India
Who is Eligible to Participate?
Welcome to the Startup World League - India, where innovation meets opportunity. We’re excited that you’re considering joining a global network of entrepreneurs aiming to make a significant impact. To maintain a fair and competitive environment, we have set specific eligibility criteria that must be met to participate in our contests. Please review the following requirements carefully to determine if your startup qualifies for entry.
Startup Stage and Domain: We invite startups from all domains and at any development stage to participate. It’s crucial, however, that your startup operates as a legally registered entity. This registration does not need to be in the India, but your business should be officially recognized as a corporate entity rather than just an idea or a solo project.
Uncertainty About Eligibility: If you have any doubts or questions regarding whether you qualify for the competition, we strongly advise you to reach out to us for clarification before you submit your application. Our team is ready to assist you in determining your eligibility.
Geographical Location: Our competition is open to startups from any location worldwide. We encourage you to apply to the regional competition that is geographically closest to you, facilitating easier access and support.
Capital Raised: There are no limits on the amount of capital you have previously raised. Whether your startup is bootstrapped, seed-funded, or well beyond, we welcome your application and are eager to see what you have achieved.
Application Fee: There is $75 fee required to apply to the competition. Some regional competitions may offer optional exhibition booths. These booths provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase your startup to a broader audience and network with potential investors and industry leaders.
Intellectual Property: Startups participating must either own or have valid usage rights to all crucial intellectual property related to their business operations. During advanced stages of the competition, proof of ownership or licensing may be required to ensure compliance with legal standards and to maintain the integrity of the contest. This verification protects participants and upholds the competition's credibility.

Application Submission Guidelines
Completing Your Application
Single Session Completion: It's essential to complete your application in one continuous session. To prevent data loss and ensure you have a record of your responses, we strongly recommend saving a copy of your information in a document, such as Microsoft Word, before entering it into the application form.
Word Limits and Preparations: Some sections of the application will specify a maximum word count for responses. To make sure your answers are concise and within these limits, consider drafting them in a text editor. Once you're satisfied with your responses, you can then copy and paste them into the appropriate fields on the application form.
Submission: After filling out all the required fields, finalize your application by clicking the ‘Submit’ button. Ensure you do not navigate away from the page until your submission is confirmed.
Language Requirement: Please note that all applications must be submitted in English to ensure they can be reviewed by our global panel of judges.
Social Media Integration
Registration Sharing: As part of your application process, we require you to share the status of your application on social media. Please post a message like "Our team just applied to @SWLIRT #StartupWorldLeagueIndia #YourCompanyName https://startupworldleague.com/india/". Your application is considered officially registered once the post is favorited by the SWLIRT X/Twitter Account.
Social Media Engagement: Finalist selection will also consider social media engagement. To increase your visibility and impact, use the hashtags #StartupWorldLeagueIndia and #YourCompanyName. Encourage friends and supporters of your company to use these hashtags as well; this will contribute positively toward your application's social media points.
Terms of Information Use
Consent to Use Information: By submitting an application, you agree that SWLI, RT, and any associated partners, including regional partners and judges, may use the information provided for any purpose without restriction. This includes the potential sharing of your application data with partnering or sponsoring organizations affiliated with the Startup World League India.

By following these steps, you ensure that your entry is complete and stands out to our judging panel. Additional Terms and Conditions
- SWLI or RT reserve the right to cancel Competitions under unexpected conditions.
- Participation in Competitions is at the participant’s own discretion. By participating, participants and attendees irrevocably waive any claims against SWLI, RT, their partners, affiliates, sponsors, employees, and volunteers for any liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, or lawsuits. Furthermore, SWLI and RT will have ownership over any data collected on this site, any registration platforms, or through other communication channels. By submitting any personal or business information, you agree to allow us to collect, use, and share such information accordingly.
- SWLI and RT, along with their regional partners, maintain the authority to refuse entry to anyone and to request that any individual leave the Competitions at any time.
